Garvin County Sheriff’s Deputies were recognized recently for their actions in responding to a shooting at Pauls Valley High School last month. Garvin County Sheriff Jim Mullett awarded officers with a plaque and a citation of appreciation during the Fourth Annual Garvin County Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner May 1. Those receiving recognition were Capt. Doug Walling, Jail Administrator Tim Joslin, Undersheriff James Richardson, Sgt. Michelle Keith and Deputy Michael Russell. State Sen. Darrell Weaver was the guest speaker at this year’s dinner, which was attended by representatives from 14 different law enforcement agencies and their families.
