Mid-America Technology Center is pleased to welcome former instructor Kyla Perry back to the district as the newest member of the Board of Education, serving zone 3.
Perry brings more than thirty years of educational experience to the board, along with a deep understanding of Mid-America Technology Center’s mission and the communities it serves. After a distinguished career in public education, she joined MATC in 2021 to launch the Business Office Assistant program, where she developed curriculum and built strong partnerships with local businesses to prepare students with the technical and professional skills needed for today’s workforce.
Throughout her career, Perry has been recognized for her unwavering commitment to student success, meaningful relationships, and educational excellence. Her transition from educator to board member reflects her continued dedication to supporting career and technology education and ensuring future generations of students have access to high-quality training and opportunities.
“Kyla is an amazing person,” said Mike Eubank, superintendent of Mid-America Technology Center. “She is a dedicated educator with a passion for serving the MATC district. We are excited to welcome her to the Board of Education and know her experience, leadership, and commitment to students will be a tremendous asset to our district.”
As a member of the Board of Education, Perry will work alongside fellow board members to provide leadership and oversight for the district, helping guide strategic decisions that support students, employees, business and industry partners, and the communities served by Mid-America Technology Center.
