Stratford FFA member receives State Star award

Faith Wright of the Stratford FFA Chapter recently won State Star in Agricultural Placement at the 100th State FFA Convention.

Faith is a senior at Stratford High School and the President of the FFA Chapter. Her Supervised Agricultural Experience project started in 8th grade a job in diversified livestock production at Wright farms, and later she was employed at Peach Tree Farms.

'I have learned so much from both opportunities' Wright said, 'but what has stuck with me the most are the opportunities I have had while working at the fruit stand, it is a pure joy to get to visit with people from across the state and country who visit the stand.'

The State Star awards are the highest awards an FFA member can earn at the state level and are accompanied by a $30,000 scholarship.
