Wallace Ray Furr, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, was born to William and Betty (Edmonds) Furr on October 22, 1957, in Fauquier County, Virginia, and passed from this life on October 4, 2022, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years.
Ray grew up and graduated from Fauquier High School in Warrenton, Virginia. On March 17, 2005, Ray married Leasa Harrel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Ray worked for over 40 years with Covercraft Industries, as plant manager, retiring in January 2020. In his spare time, he enjoyed NASCAR, hockey, and horse races. The highlight of his life was his family. Ray lived an exemplary life - live life to the fullest, don’t sweat the small stuff, knowledge is power, take care of your family, and remember tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, Leasa Furr of the home; daughter, Luree Melanie Lawson and husband, Aaron Lawson; brother, Roy Furr; sisters, Betty Jane and Mary; grandchild, Hailee James Lawson; brothers-in-law, Larry Harrel and Terry Harrel and wife, LaNette; sister-in-law, Stephanie Upshaw and husband, Travis; the mother to his child, Yvette Furr; and Luree’s grandparents, Nazir and Reyna Khan and Bob and Sunny Murcott.
Mr. Furr was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Furr; brothers, Billy, Roger, and Lonnie Furr; and sisters, Linda Shiflett and Margaret Furr.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
