Robert Lee (Bob) Frost went home with the Lord on July 2, 2024, at the age of 71 surrounded by his family.
Bob was born May 23, 1953, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Carl Gene and Norma Jean (Smalley) Frost. Bob lived in northern Oklahoma until his junior year in high school when his family moved to Oklahoma City. He attended John Marshal High School where he met the love of his life, Melanie.
Bob served many years as a youth/music director in Southern Baptist Churches including Trinity Baptist, Pauls Valley; First Baptist, Pauls Valley; Calvary Baptist, Lindsay; First Baptist, Paoli; and First Baptist, Newcastle. Later in life Bob returned to school and obtained his bachelor's in nursing. He served in rehab for 31 years and loved his work.
Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer; parents, Carl and Norma Frost; and a brother, Jim.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melanie; daughter, Trisha and her husband, Toby Wilmot; and son, Rocky Frost and his wife, Amberly. He was known as PopBob to his grandchildren, Gabe, Ty and Gentry Wilmot and Kash, Kolt and Kreed Frost. He is also survived by one brother, Andrew Frost and his wife, Diana.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 9, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 108 Loftin Ln., Pauls Valley. The service will also be live streamed for those who are unable to attend in person. The family requests those attending the service wear bright colors.
