Norma “Jeanne” Rowlett passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. Born on July 16, 1937, Jeanne lived a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by an enduring love for her family, a wide array of interests, and a zest for experiencing all that life had to offer.
Jeanne was the wife of the late Roy Rowlett and the daughter of Henry and Myree (Moulton) Saxon. She is deeply mourned by her devoted daughters, Lori and Becki. Jeanne’s legacy continues through her grandchildren—Dalton, Sara, Shelbi, Graham, Logan, and Noah—and her great-grandchild, Chandler Smith.
A woman of remarkable talents and curiosity, Jeanne worked as an office systems designer, using her keen mind and attention to detail to excel in her field.
Her interests were as varied as they were passionate: Jeanne had a love for travel, with Hawaii, Mexico, and Europe holding a special place in her heart. Music brought her immense joy, and she was gifted in playing the guitar, piano, fiddle, drums, banjo, and dulcimer. Her musical spirit echoed at home and among friends, filling many gatherings with warmth and harmony.
Jeanne took great pleasure in garage sales and shopping trips, especially when accompanied by loved ones. These outings became treasured moments filled with laughter and companionship. She was an accomplished craftswoman, entering her crochet, knitting and paintings in fairs, taking great pride in her creativity and skill which also won her many first place ribbons.
Her enthusiasm for learning knew no bounds, evidenced by her willingness to take classes in small engine repair, tiling, and even welding.
A proud member of the Red Hatter’s Club, Jeanne reveled in the camaraderie and fun this group provided. She cherished her church family and enjoyed her time with them. Animals held a special place in Jeanne’s heart, and she delighted in the company of her dogs, cats, and horses.
Jeanne approached life with vivacity and optimism, always eager to embrace new experiences and share her joy with others. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an unwavering appreciation for the everyday wonders of living.
She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by her entire family and countless friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, energy, and generosity of spirit.
Jeanne is survived by: daughters, Lori Smith and Ronnie of Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Becki Weston and Dewayne of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister, Barbara Moseley of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Dalton Rowlett, Sara LaMascus, Shelbi Murillo and Edgar, Graham Weston, Logan Smith and Skylar, and Noah Smith and Christy; and great-grandchild, Chandler Smith.
Jeanne is preceded in death by: husband Roy Rowlett, parents Henry and Myree Saxon, and brother Kenneth Saxon.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 17, 2026, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Cremation services are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville.
