Maxine Violet Deviney, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born March 6, 1934, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Roy and Calis Starette (Dodd) DeArman. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Maysville, Oklahoma, at the age of 88 years.
Maxine grew up in Kansas and married Albert Deviney on May 4, 1951, in Bakersfield, California. She was a devoted homemaker who loved cooking. She loved her family and cooking for them. Maxine enjoyed gardening when the children were younger. Her main focus was on God, she loved her God and praying for her dear family daily. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Kansas. Maxine will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish her memories are her daughters, Rita Bussard and husband, Mike, of Maysville and Gale Henson and husband, Jimmy, of Maysville; sons Ray Deviney and wife, Lena, of Maysville, David Deviney and wife, Susan, of Maysville, Larry Deviney of Hutchison, Kansas, Danny Deviney of Maysville, and Roy Deviney and wife, Rhonda, of Maysville; 100 plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Calis DeArman; son, Randall Deviney; and the father of her children, Albert Deviney.
Funeral services were held January 18, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church, Maysville, with Bro. Mike Deviney officiating. Burial followed in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma.
