Patricia L. Sells Carlton, of Pauls Valley, was born June 19, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James C. and Frances Jackson Sells. Pat passed away March 26, 2025, in Davis, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Pat was always involved in music. She sang in the City Choir in elementary, junior and senior years in Fort Worth, Texas. She was in the All-States Choir for three years in high school, as well as the Select Choir in high school. Later she taught children choir at churches for over 30 years. Her love of Christ was always in her heart. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Jackson Sells; father, James C. Sells; stepmom, Alice Tutor Sells; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sells, and Mr. and Mrs. Olin Jackson; and brothers, Guy Sells and Terry Standridge Sells.
She was married to Ray L. Carlton on February 10, 1962, and was blessed with two sons, Mark R. Carlton, and William Brent Carlton, and a daughter, Shaye Marie Carlton; also surviving are her brother, James C. Sells, Jr., and sister, Cathryn Ann Sells.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 1, at Beaty Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Glen Alley and Rev. Terry Mott.
