Bobby Derral Alexander

Bobby Derral Alexander was born October 12, 1934, in Civit, Oklahoma, and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on June 29, 2024. This was a day that Bob had been longing for.

Bob was born to Edgar and Annie Davis Alexander. Bob had one older brother, Thurman, and one sister, Mary Ann, who died as an infant.

Bob was very active in 4-H and FFA. He showed hogs all the time he was in 4-H, then showed calves in FFA. Bob served as President of the Pauls Valley FFA Chapter for two years. Bob served on several different organizations like Joy School as a board member, Farmers Home, Soil Conservation and served as a deacon more than 20 years at First Baptist Church, Wynnewood.

Bob met and married Nancy Everett in 1960. Bob and Nancy lived in Maysville and then moved to Wynnewood (Joy). They raised three children, Sandra, Janice, and Daryl. After being married for 24 years, Nancy passed away in 1987. In a few years, Bob fell in love again and married Joy Goggans Jones. With that marriage, Bob gained two more daughters, Glenna and Julie. Bob and Joy lived 32 years loving each other until Joy’s passing.

Over the years Bob worked at several different jobs, most were oil industry and farm related, except for his stint as a school bus driver. Bob was an excellent farmer, always striving for good crops and straight rows and enjoyed tending his cattle herd. He took great pride in every job he ever had. Bob officially retired at the age of 80.

Bob always tried to treat others like he wanted to be treated. Bob was saved at the First Baptist Church in Paoli in September of 1957. Bob loved the Lord, and he shared that love with others.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; both siblings; two loving wives; and step-grandson, Brandon Keller.

He is survived by his children, Sandra Alexander, Janice Dixon and Eugene, Daryl Alexander, Glenna Keller and Mike, and Julie Moore and Boyd; grandchildren, Heather Leverett, Logan and Robin Leverett, Morgan and Ashley Leverett, Ethan and Lorin Dixon, Haylie and Cameron Elmore, Shanie Alexander, Cressa Keller, Avery Moore, and Cade Moore, along with 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 3, 2024, at Trinity Baptist Church of Pauls Valley, officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. You are invited to send a message of care and concern as well as kind words and memories at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com.
