Billy “Ray” Miller

Billy “Ray” Miller was born September 18, 1938, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to William and Dixie (Lewis) Miller. He passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side September 12, 2025, in Maysville, Oklahoma, at the age 86 years.

Ray was a graduate of Wayne High School. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Woodruff in June of 1975. Together they opened up Miller Farm Supply where they worked side by side. As years went by granddaughter, Kami, came in to help out with the business, bringing along great granddaughters, Allison and Avery. The store was more than a business to Ray it was family serving the community. Ray was a big supporter of the Maysville community and would gladly donate and give to various community activities. He was an excellent businessman with a great work ethic. Ray continued to operate the business until the last few weeks when his health began to fail and he was no longer able to do so.

Ray was well known and loved by the people of Maysville. He will be missed dearly by his family and those that knew and loved him.

Ray is survived by: son, Billy Walker, of Maysville, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Kami Riley and David, of Maysville, Oklahoma; brothers, Arthur Miller and Judy, of Wayne, Oklahoma, and Joe Dodd of Sulphur, Oklahoma; sisters, Patricia Peppers, of Yukon, Oklahoma, Anna Dickinson Hodge and David of Eldorado, Arkansas, and Jimmie Kay Harris and Roger of Edmond, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Allison Riley and Avery Riley, of Maysville, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dixie Miller; wife, Dorothy Miller; and a brother, James Flournoy.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial followed at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma.
