Albert Bob (Bud) Pike

Albert Bob (Bud) Pike, was born February 9, 1941, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Willie and Pearl (Clark) Pike. He passed away peacefully in his home July 24, 2025, at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 15 days. He grew up in the Stratford area and attended Stratford school. He married the love of his life Nancy Wood on May 27, 1966, at her home in Stratford. They made their home in Stratford where they raised their two daughters. Bud, as he was known by all, wore many hats, working in the oil fields for Gearhart and for Jacobson’s cement for many years. He then became an employee for the city of Stratford, keeping the cemetery looking great. You could always count on him being there any time there was a funeral. He was a member of the Stratford Church of Christ. His grandkids say he was ornery and loved to tell jokes, loved fishing and loved his family. He will be missed.

He is preceded by his parents, Willie and Pearl Pike; granddaughter, Amanda; great-grandson, Dalton; brothers, Floyd and Howard Pike; sisters, Bertha Clark, Ida Wilcox, Ruby Fox, Flossie Pike and Wayne’s twin sister Mary Ann.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home in Stratford; two daughters, Rene’ Marks and husband Jim, and Raynette Tully and husband Mark, all of Stratford; six grandchildren: Alisha and Jes Smith, Michael, Natalie, Summer and Gunner; four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Brixtyn, Sydney and Parker; and brother, Wayne Pike and wife Hiwanahia, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Michael Jolley, Gunner Hook, Jes Smith, Joseph Smith, Casey Pike and Phillip (Tiny) Idell.

Services were held July 29, 2025, at the Stratford church of Christ, with Bill Jones officiating, assisted by Roger Gean. Interment is at McGee cemetery Stratford, Oklahoma.
