OSU Extension will offer its next Co-Parenting for Resilience class Wednesday, April 8, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. The class is designed to equip participants with tools to navigate the divorce process and help their children overcome the effects of divorce more quickly.
Participants will learn how to develop an effective coparenting plan, gain an understanding of the emotions and experiences of each person involved in the divorce, and develop skills to manage conflict with their co-parent. Choral Society to present spring concert ‘Hope Springs
Eternal’ March 29
The Garvin County Choral Society will present a concert titled “Hope Springs Eternal” Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at the Pauls Valley High School Auditorium. The concert will include Vivaldi’s La Primavera (Spring) Concerto with Yena Lee, violin, and Handel’s “Messiah,” Parts II and III with soprano Christian Morren, alto Rebekeh Ambrosini, tenor Joel Burcham and bass Jeffrey Ambrosini, accompanied by orchestra.
The Choral Society is requesting donations to bring these stunning works to our community in a performance which will mark the beginning to Holy Week.

Garvin County Democrats will hold a 'No Kings' protest Saturday, March 28, from 9-10:45 a.m. on the Garvin County Courthouse lawn. Lindsay United hosting Easter
Egg Scramble
Lindsay United Methodist Church will host the Easter Egg Scramble at 11 a.m. April 4 on the church lawn.
The Easter egg hunt will include over 2,000 eggs, and participants will be divided into four different age groups with separate hunting zones, including one for toddlers. Participants are asked to gather at the church's main sign for directions.
Following the egg hunt, the United Methodist Men will provide a free hot dog lunch.
Garvin County FREE Trash
Clean Up Day, March 28
Garvin County residents will be able to dump items at the Pauls Valley Sanitation Transfer Station free of charge Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to noon. The transfer station is at 2414 W. Kimberlin Rd., Pauls Valley.
Furniture, yard waste, appliances, general trash are all items that will be accepted during the event. Items that will NOT be accepted include tires, chemicals, pesticides, paint, oil, fuel, explosives, medications or medical supplies.
The clean-up day is sponsored by the Garvin County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. For more information call 405238-7591.

Mission Possible Garvin

Mission Possible Garvin County is looking for projects for a work day March 28. The group is about youth doing mission trips in their own communities. The types of projects sought include yard work, light construction (such as building ramps), cleaning gutters, or painting and cleaning windows. There is no cost to residents needing help, though they can purchase supplies if they wish. Singing Supper Fundraiser, April 11
The Wallville House of Prayer will hold a Singing Supper Fundraiser featuring the group 8th Street Saturday, April 11, at 4 p.m. The church will be serving Frito Chili Pies, drinks and dessert for $15 per plate.
The youth group will also be selling cakes and cookies.
Proceeds will go to help build a new church sanctuary.
The fundraiser will be held at the Maysville Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, 23720 Highway 19, Maysville.

Association CPR class offered

First United Bank will host a complimentary American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED/ First Aid course Monday, April 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the First United Bank in Pauls Valley, 315 W. Grant Ave. The course is offered in partnership with Mid-America Technology Center. The class is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. The AHA Heartsaver course is designed for those will little or no medical training.
Participants will learn to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies, perform high-quality CPR on adults, children and infants, and use Automated External Defibrillator (AED). PVES scheduling preschool screenings for upcoming school year
Pauls Valley Elementary School will offer preschool screening for the 2026-2027 school year March 31-April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Appointments must be scheduled before Thursday, March 24. The enrollment/ screening process takes about an hour to complete. The child must turn 4 before Sept. 1 to be eligible for screening and enrollment, must be present for the screening process, and must reside in the Pauls Valley School District or acquire an approved transfer. Wacker Park Easter Egg Hunt set for March 28
The 37th annual Wacker Park Easter Egg Hunt in Pauls Valley will be Saturday, March 28, starting at 10:30 a.m. There will be thousands of eggs to be found and the Pauls Valley Ministerial Alliance will be serving food at 11 a.m., immediately following the egg hunt, at the Wacker Park Pavilion, 1000 N. Willow St.
The event is sponsored by the Donald W. Reynolds Recreation Center, the PV Ministerial Alliance and the Pauls Valley Fraternal Order of Police.

The Anime and Manga Club at Pauls Valley’s Nora Sparks Warren Library will host a movie night Friday, March 27, from 4-6 p.m. at the library, 210 N. Willow St. The club will show the anime movie “A Silent Voice,” which follows a former bully, Shoya Ishida, as he seeks redemption by reconnecting with Shoko Nishimiya, a deaf girl he once tormented in elementary school. As they confront their past, the film explores guilt, forgiveness, disability, depression and social isolation, with emotionally heavy moments involving bullying and suicidal thoughts.
