Free American Heart
Association CPR class offered
April 13
First United Bank will host a complimentary American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED/ First Aid course Monday, April 13, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the First United Bank in Pauls Valley, 315 W. Grant Ave. The course is offered in partnership with Mid-America Technology Center. The class is limited to 20 participants and registration is required. The AHA Heartsaver course is designed for those will little or no medical training.
Participants will learn to recognize and respond to cardiac emergencies, perform high-quality CPR on adults, children and infants, and use Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Pauls Valley meeting to discuss downtown landscaping, March 11
The city of Pauls Valley will hold a second public meeting March 11 to continue discussion and planning for clean-up and revitalization of the landscaping in the curb bump out areas along Paul Avenue in downtown. The meeting will be at 5 p.m. at Pauls Valley City Hall, 100 W. Paul Ave. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Drive thru vaccine and microchip clinic for pets,

Garvin County 4H and Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society are sponsoring a low-cost, drive-thru vaccine and microchip clinic for pets, Feb. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Garvin County Fair Grounds. Three local veterinarians, Carolyn Williams, Shawna McCune and Jacob Gollihare, will be onsite offering vaccines for a penny each, microchips for $5, penny collars and leashes, and muzzles if needed. Conference, Feb. 28
The annual Lindsay Christian Women’s Conference will be Feb. 28 at the REC Multi-purpose Center, 801 REC Blvd, in Lindsay. The gathering offers a welcoming space for women to connect, worship and grow spiritually.
Whether attending with a church group or coming individually, all women are encouraged to join this inspiring day of fellowship and renewal. This year’s featured speaker is Allyson McElroy of On3 Ministries, and praise and worship will be led by Debby Gamble and Becky Hill.
There will be free coffee and donuts for breakfast and a free baked potato bar for lunch. Attendees are asked to bring a salad, appetizer or dessert for lunch. Water and iced tea will be provided.
Doors open at 9 a.m., and the conference will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.

Free Dog Training Series offered Saturdays in February
In celebration of National Train Your Dog Month, professional dog trainer Jonathan Cox will be hosting four FREE dog training classes, held every Saturday in February from 2-4 p.m., at the Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society Dog Park and Shelter, 300 E. Airport Industrial Road.
These sessions are designed to be fun, educational, and relationship-focused, helping you and your dog build a stronger bond through positive reinforcement.
