Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce Dinner, June 23

Join the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce in celebrating our community during the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner and celebration, Tuesday, June 23. The evening is an opportunity recognize outstanding educators, local businesses and community award recipients. This year’s theme is “Pauls Valley Proud,” and suggested attire is Panther Pride. The celebration will be from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Bosa Community Center, 207 Bosa Ave., in Pauls Valley. Social hour and a silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner, speakers and awards will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Sponsorships are also available. Maysville Library craft day

June 24

Maysville Public Library will host a pool noodle craft class at 1 p.m. June 24.

The Maysville OHCE members will teach the class and provide supplies.

The class will cost $10. Call the library to reserve a spot.

AA Meetings

AA will meet every Friday at 6 p.m. at The Foundation Church in Maysville.

June events part of summer fun at Toy and Action Figure

Museum

Pauls Valley’s Toy and Action Figure Museum has several fun events in the works for the month of June. June 20 will be a Toy Story Celebration, with free posters and Toy Story Pez dispensers, while supplies last. Johnny West Day is June 27. Visitors can get their photo made with a lifesize Johnny West, and a real horse and cowboy will also be present, and patrons can cap off the day with a stop at the Pauls Valley Rodeo, also set for June 27.

Lindsay Chamber Speak and

Eat, June 23

The Lindsay Chamber of Commerce will host a Speak and Eat event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

Amber Luke of Red Thread Creative will present “Marketing in a Changing World,“ which will explore changes in marketing and customer behavior, common mistakes businesses make online, practical uses of AI for small businesses and low-cost strategies businesses can implement immediately.

Donations will be accepted.

Pauls Valley Friends of the

Library to host author visit and membership drive, June 25

The Pauls Valley Friends of the Library will host a membership drive and book signing June 25, at 6 p.m., at the Nora Sparks Warren Library, 210 N. Willow St., in Pauls Valley. Special guests will be New York Times best-selling author Carolyn Brown and her son, author Charles Lemar Brown. Books will be available for purchase (cash only) and signing by the authors.

Join the Friends of the Library for a $25 annual membership fee during the event and receive a free book bag and be entered into a raffle for a signed book from the authors.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Chicken Fried Steak and

Poetry, June 26

Join the Pauls Valley Arts Council for its next fundraiser, Chicken Fried Steak and Poetry, Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. at the Pauls Valley Arts Council Building, 220 W. Paul Ave.

Tickets are $25 and include dinner of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with white gravy, salad, green beans, bread and tea or water. Of course a yummy dessert too!

The event will feature humorous poetry by Steve Jarman, as well as door prizes and a silent auction. Proceeds support PVAC.
