Chamber accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year awards

The Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the annual Citizen of the Year and Corporate (Business) Citizen of the Year awards, recognizing outstanding service and dedication to the community.

Anyone can submit candidate nominations for the awards, and the nominees themselves do not have to be active in the Chamber to be considered but do have to have strong ties to the city of Pauls Valley.

Award winners will be selected by a vote from a special committee of past recipients of the awards. The winners will be honored with short speeches and plaques at the annual Chamber Celebration banquet, Tuesday, June 23, at the Bosa Community Center.

The Citizen of the Year Award dates back 42 years, and this is the 20th year the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award will be presented.

Nomination forms are available online at PaulsValleyChamber.com or at the Chamber office between 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The deadline for nomination submissions is Friday, May 29.

The Chamber Celebration June 23 is also open to the public. Tickets are $45 per person for a catered meal, complimentary drinks and participation in the events of the evening including a Dessert Dash, a silent auction, and networking opportunities. The theme this year is “Pauls Valley Proud.”

Sponsorships for the Chamber Celebration are available and give businesses visual opportunities for branding various aspects of the evening. Sponsorships range from $200 to $1,500.
