Lindsay United Methodist Church will host a community health and wellness fair from 3 pm. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1.
The event will include over 20 tables providing screenings, assessments and information to encourage individuals in better health-related self-awareness and self-care. A variety of health-related organizations and providers will be there to connect participants with resources available in Lindsay and Garvin County.
“I am excited about working with the Garvin County Health Department and area health professionals in putting this health fair together,” said Deb Nagel, fair organizer and Lindsay United church nurse. “The primary goal of this health fair is to promote preventative care, encourage healthy living and connect people with local wellness resources through accessible community education and basic medical screenings.”
The Garvin County Health Department will provide biometric screenings to help individuals learn about their body composition, as well as information about health services available locally in their clinic.
