Paoli Schools recently recognized students earning accolades as students of the month for August.
Paoli Elementary School Students of the Month for August are Talon Bryant, Karter Collins, Nolan Todd, Abby Salcedo, Killian Ward, James Mooney, Enderson Hillhouse and Paige Nowlin.
Bryant is a pre-kindergarten student who has shown much improvement and great leadership skills this month. He is the son of Nikki and Jeff Bryant and his favorite thing about school is playing at centers time.
Collins is a kindergarten student and is the grandson to Darren Jennings. Collins is always a great friend to the other students, a great listener, and does his best work. Collins’ favorite subject at school is math and one of his favorite things to do at home is play with his Pa.
Todd is a first-grade student and is the son of Ashley Todd. He is very respectful to his teacher and classmates, and is an excellent student. Todd enjoys playing at centers in school and his favorite hobby is playing football.
Salcedo is a second-grade student who leads by example and is always very considerate to others. Salcedo is the daughter of Marrisa B., loves to eat pizza, and enjoys playing with her toys in her free time.
Ward is a third-grade student who always has a positive attitude, is willing to help his classmates, and makes good choices at school. Ward is the son of Billi and Summer Ward and he recently went on a hot air balloon and wasn’t even scared. His favorite subject in school is math and he loves playing Minecraft in his free time.
Mooney is in the fourth grade and is the son of Dustin and Angela Mooney. He is a great friend, helps others without being asked, and always puts in extra effort on his work. Mooney’s favorite subject in school is math.
Hillhouse is in the fifth grade and continuously demonstrates kindness, respect and perseverance in the classroom. He is the son of Daimon and Teryla Hillhouse and his favorite subject in school is science.
Nowlin is a sixth-grade student and is the daughter of Nikki and Jeremy Nowlin. She works hard every day at school, comes ready to learn, and treats everyone with respect. Nowlin’s favorite subject at school is spelling, and she loves to play games in her free time.
Paoli Junior High School’s Student of the Month for August is Moses Sumner. Sumner is an eighth-grade student at the Junior High and is the grandson of Billy Sumner. He is an excellent student and is always kind and polite to others. His favorite subject in school is history and he loves to eat Mexican food. In Sumner’s free time, he loves to play soccer (futbol) and wants to play for Liverpool someday. His favorite quote is: “If it is to be, it’s up to me.”
The Paoli High School Student of the Month for August is Brooklyn Darden. Darden is a ninth-grade student and was nominated because of her excellence in the classroom and willingness to help others out. She is the daughter of Eric and Maria McCoy and enjoys study hall at school. Darden loves to eat fried egg sandwiches, she loves to play basketball and cook, and she wants to be a chef when she graduates from school.
