DHS tub is back and ready for Christmas donations
Summer is quickly drawing to an end, and with that comes football season. We are lucky to have “The Big Redder” in our church, and he gave a good report of last week’s Maysville Warriors game. Congratulations to the team and all connected with them for a “W” this week.
With the Youth Group in mind, it is with much happiness I report our group is growing. They meet each Sunday evening at 6:30 and are busy making plans for future activities and fundraisers. Our future is in our youth, so it’s important we get behind them with our support.
The DHS donation tub is back in its place, ready to fill for Christmas. Remember we donate for the ages of four and under.
With all the younger children coming to church now, we are always in need of volunteer nursery workers. If you are unable to come on your assigned date, please let someone know so it will be covered. We are so thankful for all our volunteers, but especially to the parents who bring their kids to church.
The second Sunday potluck dinner will be September 12, and Third Thursday dinner out is September 23.
Pastor Mike chose “And my judgment is righteous!” as his sermon title this week. He used John 5:22-30 as scripture.
We hope to see you next Sunday at 10 a.m. for Sunday School and 11 a.m. for church service.
