Badgers defeat Rush Springs 50-0

The Elmore City-Pernell Badgers’ defense played like a team on a mission Friday night, handily defeating the Rush Springs Redskins 50-0 in the Badgers’ fourth shut-out game of the season.

The Badgers played a solid game on both sides of the ball with only a couple of mistakes and a few questionable penalties. Rush Springs was only allowed one first down in the first half of the game while the Badgers put up 38 points. The second half was not much better for the Redskins as they were able to get into the Badger red-zone once but turned the ball over before they could score.

The Badgers remain undefeated this season with a record of 9-0. Their march toward a state championship will continue next week as they take on the Ringling Blue Devils on the road to settle the District A-4 title.
