Lindsay Bands planning spring concert and bake sale

The Lindsay Public Schools Band Program will perform its annual spring concert at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at the Leopard Arena.

The concert is free and open to the public.

Before and after the concert, the Lindsay High School Band Boosters will have their spring bake sale in the arena lobby. The bake sale will begin at 5:30 p.m., and items will be sold by donation, with all proceeds going to benefit next year’s band programs.

The spring concert will feature performances by the sixth-grade Beginner Band, seventh-grade Advanced Band and the Pride of Lindsay High School Band.

The Pride of Lindsay will perform several pieces, including “Moonlit Dreams” by Joshua Hinkel and “Spania” by David Shaffer, for its part of the concert. The LHS band played these two pieces at the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) State Concert Contest earlier this month at East Central University’s Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center in Ada.
