Southeastern Oklahoma Fishing Report

Arbuckle: September 4. Elevation normal, water 89 and clear. For current elevation conditions go to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swtwc.usace.army.mil/ARBU.lakepage.html. Bass fair at dawn and good on topwater lures off rocky points and 10-inch purple worms up shallow and pull off to 12 ft. of water. Crappie fair off docks at daybreak on minnows and real good on lake brush piles if at the right place. White bass can be chasing shad anywhere on the lake, hitting on topwater lures or rattletrap type baits. Channel catfish good on shrimp and dough bait. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and topwater lures around brush structure, rocks and shorelines. Channel catfish good on chicken liver, dough bait and stinkbait along channels and docks.

Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on Alabama rigs, bill baits, crankbaits, flukes and plastic baits around brush structure and points. White bass good on spoons and topwater lures around points and shorelines. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around brush structure and standing timber. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, live bait, punch bait, shad, stinkbait and sunfish below the dam, along channels, creek channels, main lake, river channel and shorelines. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows below the dam, around brush structure, channels, creek channels, main lake, river channel and standing timber. Konawa: September 5. Elevation normal, water 84 and clear. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits, plastic baits and topwater lures in the main lake, around points, river channel and weed beds. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits and live shad. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait and shrimp along the inlet, riprap and weed beds. Lower Mountain Fork: September 3. Elevation normal, water 68 and clear. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, grubs, hotdogs, minnows, shad, shrimp, stinkbait, sunfish and worms below the dam, main lake, river channel and tailwater. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, shad and sunfish along flats, main lake and shorelines. Texoma: September 5. Elevation normal, water 85. For current elevation conditions go to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website at https://www.swt-wc.usace.army.mil/DENI.lakepage.html. Fishing this week has been better. Striped bass fair on Alabama rigs, flukes, live shad, plastic baits, sassy shad and slabs below the dam, along flats, main lake and points. Striper are being caught near Washita Point on live shad, slabs and Alabama rigs. They are also catching lots of striper below the dam. Blue catfish fair on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait, stinkbait and sunfish below the dam, around docks and main lake. Blue cats are being caught in 15-25 ft. of water on punch bait. Crappie slow on jigs, minnows and PowerBait around brush structure, docks and standing timber. Crappie are being caught in 13-22 ft. of water.
