Wynnewood ends Davis Festival with win

The Lady Savages snapped a three-game win streak Thursday with two losses at the Davis Festival.

They fell 7-0 to Ada.

Then Wynnewood took an early 1-0 lead against Sulphur, only for the Lady Bulldogs to score in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to take the 2-1 win.

Paisley Lewis drew a walk that scored one run. Parker Moore on the mound struck out five and walked two.

On Friday, the Lady Savages won 5-4 over Madill.

Wynnewood ended the first inning down 3-2. Reagan Reed’s bunt allowed Skylar Tinnin to score. Jurnee Jones batted in Reed.

The Lady Wildcats extended their lead to 4-2 in the second. 

In the bottom of the third, Lewis hit a double to bat in Charlie Hebert and Reed to tie the game. Then, Danika Gibson hit a sacrifice to the pitcher that let Lewis run from third to home.

Carlye Stokes pitched the win, giving up six hits, striking out four and walking none.

Wynnewood will host Stratford and Dibble on Monday and go to Turner on Tuesday. They will host Little Axe on Friday.
