Boys basketball season wraps up as playoffs approach

Elmore City-Pernell

The Badgers (10-12, Class A) won 72-24 Thursday at Springer (1-17, Class B2), lost a close 52-50 game against Empire (10-11, Class A) and won 65-61 against Waurika (11-14, Class A).

ECP will play at Verden (19-5, #14) 7:30 p.m. Saturday for the district title.

Regionals will begin at Carnegie by playing the corresponding team from the Carnegie (10-12) at Cheyenne/ Reydon (18-6, #12) game. Winners will continue to play Regional games at Apache.

Lindsay

The Leopards (20-4, #8 in Class 3A) lost to Washington 58-53 in overtime Friday. They won 48-46 over Chickasha and won 75-64 over Bridge Creek.

Lindsay will play Crooked Oak Friday and Purcell Tuesday.

Maysville

The Warriors (1-14, Class B2) lost 57-34 to Mill Creek (16-6, #12 in Class B2).

The Maysville boys will play at Calvin (14-6, #20) at 6 p.m. Friday. Regionals will be at Springer, where they will face the corresponding team from the Milburn at Springer game.

Paoli

The Pugs (1-12, Class B2) lost 49-30 to Thackerville (6-10, Class B1) on Monday.

For District play, Paoli will play at Chattanooga (23-1, #7), 7:30 p.m. Friday.

For Regionals, they will return to Chattanooga to play the corresponding team from the Cement (9-16) at Blair (11-12) game. The winners’ game will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the runners-up game will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19.

Pauls Valley

The Panthers (2-19, Class 4A) lost to Marlow 58-47, to Ada 76-39 and to Purcell 68-47.

Pauls Valley will play Washington Friday and at Chickasha Monday.

Stratford

The Bulldogs (14-8, Class 2A) lost to Asher 52-37 and won against Konowa 66-52.

Stratford will host Little Axe Friday and host Wynnewood Saturday.

Wynnewood

The Savages (15-5, Class 2A) won against Springer 89-26 and Roff 64-53. They lost to Wewoka 53-46.

Wynnewood will go to Stratford Saturday and host Harrah Monday.
