Karen Lee Dickerson (Weeks)

Karen Lee Dickerson (Weeks) was born February 19, 1957, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Betty (Derryberry) Dickerson. She passed away peacefully March 21, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 68 years. Karen was a very loving, caring and affectionate person. She loved to give hugs and was fondly known as “Care Bear” at the Walmart store in Buffalo, Missouri, where she worked for many years. Karen loved working with the public, and she enjoyed meeting and greeting all her customers and friends. Karen’s loving nature also carried on to her love for animals. She loved her dogs and cats, and they were a very important part of her family.

Her sister Kelli loved her very much and has wonderful, fond memories of Karen always taking care of her and being her best buddy as they were growing up. Especially, Karen driving her to town for cherry Cokes with an olive on top!

Above all, Karen will be remembered as a loving mother to her son Kyle. No love was greater than the love she had for her son, and him for her. She taught him the meaning of kindness and compassion for all people. A mother’s love is the closest to God’s love.

Karen will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Karen is survived by her son, Kyle Bryan and his wife, LaTonya, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; sisters: Susan Eaton of Ada, Oklahoma, and Kelli Moss of Ada, Oklahoma.

Karen in preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Betty Dickerson; and brother, Mike Dickerson.
