Pauls Valley’s No. 1 doubles team, Isaac Green and Cooper Maness, finished seventh at the State Championships at the Will Rogers Tennis Center in Oklahoma City.
In the first round, the pair won 7-5 and 6-3 against Henryetta. Then, they fell to eventual runner-up Ada, 6-7, 3-6.
On the second day of the championships, the pair beat Oklahoma Christian School 7-6, 6-2 before losing to The Academy 1-6, 4-6. They beat Wagoner 0-6, 6-2, 10-7 to clinch the seventh-place victory.
Gabe Alvarado and Carter Hicks competed at Number 2 Doubles but were eliminated after losses to Ardmore and Elk City.
