Elmore City-Pernell’s Condit and Harrell win powerlifting divisions at the Longhorn Invitational

Elmore City-Pernell powerlifting competed at the Longhorn Invitational in Jones Jan. 15-16.

In the girls small school competition, Gentri Condit won the 155 weight division. She lifted 140 on the bench, which was more than anyone from any other school in her division. Her 665 total was the second highest in the division.

Emma Reames placed third in the 143 weight division. Her 570 total tied the second-place finisher Ollie Miller from Latta, but Miller’s deadlift was 290 compared to Reames’ 250. However, Reames earned more overall points, placing second in bench and third in squat.

In the boys small school competition, Sylas Harrell won the 242 weight division. His 1,220 total was the second highest of his weight division, regardless of class.

Todd Gonzalez placed second in the 123 weight division. His 155 bench and 725 total were the secondhighest of his division from any class.

With a total of 930, James Parsons placed fourth in the 275 weight division.

Brock Johnson placed fourth in the 181 weight division after a second-place deadlift of 385.

In the 145 weight division, Easton McMillen placed fifth with a total of 720.

Cason Bynum placed seventh in the heavyweight division, lifting a total of 860.

Cutter Condit in the 157 weight division had the third highest squat and bench but scratched on the deadlift.
