Lately I have been thinking about words like honor, respect, consideration, humility and other meaningful words of active expression that seem to have vanished from today’s world in people’s lives.
With all the chaos and calamity that is revealing itself on our college campuses, in our towns, cities and communities across our own country, in addition to civil unrest and wars throughout the world, it appears that the realization of any tangible hope for future peace might be lost. However, the Eternal Creator and God of all the universe has given us all the hope and peace we will ever need by sending his personal Word, Jesus, as a human being, living on this earth, showing us how to live life to the fullest with all of life’s challenges.
I believe the book of Colossians, chapter 1, verses 15-23 declare who Jesus Christ is: He is the exact image and likeness of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. All things were created by Him and for Him, and all things hold together and are sustained by Him. The full and complete Godhead with all its powers and nature resides (lives) with Christ. Humanity and everything in the universe are brought in unity and harmony under Christ. Each person has to submit their own free will to accept what Jesus did to purchase our eternal freedom, by His death, burial and ultimate resurrection from the tomb.
Being a believer means believing in Christ and His gospel (good news), trusting Him, loving Him and living in His presence. This attainable lifestyle results in spiritual wisdom and understanding and transforms our hearts and lives. Give it a try; It works.
That’s the way I see it ...
Maranatha (behold, He’s coming soon!)
