Opportunities are on the rise for young Oklahomans interested in careers in the state’s growing film and media industry, but there’s a risk that workers may not be ready in sufficient numbers to take jobs when they become available. A review by state lawmakers at the Capitol of progress made so far in developing the industry showed that it might make sense to increase investment in educational programs geared to showcase career possibilities in film and entertainment media.
