Shirley Yvonne Tennison, of Pauls Valley, passed away September 29, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years.
Shirley Yvonne Daniel was born February 15, 1937, in Lubbock, Texas, to Homer and Viola Dunnigan Daniel.
After high school Shirley attended East Central University where she graduated with a Master of Education degree. Later, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond for library media.
She taught school for 29 years in the Pauls Valley School System.
She and Walter Lee Tennison were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on August 16, 1957, and she was a member of First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Viola Daniel; her husband, Walter Lee Tennison; and a brother, Homer Ray Daniel.
Shirley is survived by her children, Becky Vladyka and husband, Steve, Lela Tennison, and Tara Bradford and husband, Joe; three grandchildren, Jamie Briscoe and husband, Keith, Allison Bradford and Tyler Vladyka; one great-grandson, Elijah Briscoe; and one brother, Don Daniel, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were Monday, October 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Steve Mayhan and Joe Daniel. Interment will be at Mt.
