The Pauls Valley Junior High Academic Teams took a trip to Science Museum Oklahoma in February. Academic team students in grades 7-9 spent the day learning as they participated in the museum's many science attractions. Chelsey Schroeder's Journey class at Pauls Valley Junior High School received a grant from the Pauls Valley Foundation for Academic Excellence this year for a project titled, 'Sew Much Fun.' This grant was about teaching students how to do minor sewing projects, such as sewing on a button and sewing a seam. The grant purchased sewing kits and small handheld sewing machines, as well as buttons, fabric and stuffing. Students used the equipment and supplies to work on making stuffed animals. Courtesy photo
