The Pauls Valley community came together Monday evening to help area students battle their way back to the classroom with the town's first-ever Water Fight Parade.
Staged along Paul Avenue in downtown Pauls Valley, the event was intended to be fun event to help kick off the new school year, which starts Thursday for Pauls Valley students.
Families armed with water blasters and water balloons lined the parade route, battling against similarly armed city employees, school students and staff, first responders and local businesses and organizations, as the parade made its way from the police station to the Santa Fe Depot Plaza.
Once there, fire trucks provided plenty of water to keep the fun going, along with a DJ Dance Party and free sno-cones.
