Congressman Tom Cole and State Rep. Cynthia Roe met with Pauls Valley's High School Principal Kirk Moore and School Superintendent Brett Knight over lunch Tuesday to express their appreciation for Moore's actions in stopping an armed intruder at the high school on April 7. Cole presented Moore with an American flag flown over the U.S. Capitol building and letters of appreciation from himself and President Trump. The honor capped off a weeklong stretch in which Moore was honored with the Heroic Oklahoman award from Gov. Stitt and a Key to the City from the PV City Council.
