The City of Pauls Valley issued an urgent notice Thursday afternoon asking water customers to immediately cease all nonessential water usage and conserve water until further notice. According to the communication, the action is necessary to ensure customers maintain adequate water service while an issue at the water plant is addressed.
Additional notice will be issued when the problem is resolved and restrictions are lifted, according to the city.

URGENT WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE
Due to an issue at the City’s water treatment plant, all residents and businesses are required to immediately discontinue lawn watering and all other nonessential or excessive water use until further notice.
Please limit water use to essential household and business needs only. Avoid watering lawns and gardens, washing vehicles, filling swimming pools, and any other activity that uses large amounts of water.
Your immediate cooperation will help maintain adequate water service while the issue is resolved. The City will issue an update when these restrictions are lifted.
