Warrior’s last high school meet on old track

The Maysville Warriors hosted about fifteen schools at their high school track meet Tuesday. The meet is expected to be one of the last to be held on Maysville’s cinder track, as construction of the district’s new all-weather track is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks. Several Warriors brought home some nice hardware during Tuesday’s meet.

Abby McHugh placed first in the 100-meter hurdles and second in the 300-meter hurdles. Gentry Wilmot placed first in the long jump, second in the 100-meter hurdles and third in the 300-meter hurdles. Olivia Huey placed third in the 3200-meter run.

The Warrior’s 4x100 meter relay team of Hayden Park, Holden Tyler, Nigel Reid and Bryce Shannon placed first. The 4x400 meter relay team of Hayden Park, Holden Tyler, Nigel Reid and Bryce Shannon also placed first.

Karson Chambers placed second in the 110- meter hurdles and second in the long jump. Holden Tyler placed third in the 110-meter hurdles and second in the 300-meter hurdles. Hayden Park placed first in the high jump.
