Pauls Valley Lady Panthers extended their winning streak to three with a decisive 60-26 win over rival Lindsay.
The Lady Panthers' defense began the game with full-court pressure that limited the Leopardettes to only 2 points in the first quarter. Offensively, Pauls Valley shone outside the arc, where they scored 15 of their 23 first-quarter points.
The Leopardettes had more offensive success in the second quarter but struggled to stop the Pauls Valley offense, leading to a halftime score of 42-12.
In the second half, the Lady Panthers backed up to a half-court defense and rotated more through their lineup. The third quarter ended 53-20.
Kate Taylor led the Pauls Valley offense with 13 points. Other scorers were Mallory Carter with 12, Mati Fishback 10, Rachel Hamilton 8, Marissa Cooper 7, Kylene Denton 4, Gracy Manning 2, and Isabella Smith 2.
Gracey Bray led the Leopardettes with 5 points. Other scorers were Abriel Dodson 4, Jacey Anderson 3, Brylee Russell 3, Marisol Hernandez 3, Addison Dodson 3, Brylee Ince 2, and Alondra Lopez 2.
Next, Pauls Valley will head to the Bethel Wildcat Tournament. Lindsay will play in the Boyd Houser Invitational Tournament in Tishomingo.
