Tamara Ja Turner

Rogers, Arkansas – Tamara Ja Turner, 49, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born April 1, 1973, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is the daughter of Joe M. Turner and Joanne L. Turner (Miller).

Tamara graduated from Stratford High School in the Class of 1991. While in high school, Tamara was winner at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Miami Florida. Following graduation, she attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Management.

Tamara was raised attending the Stratford Freewill Baptist Church and was Baptized there within a week of her 16th birthday.

Tamara was fun loving, smart, driven and a good athlete in addition to being a huge OU football and Stratford Bulldog fan. For work, she was a successful category manager for Nestle-Purina, and most recently worked for consumer products company - Reckitt.

Tamara was predeceased by her father, Joe.

She is survived by her immediate family including her mother, Joanne Turner; brother, Derek Turner, and his daughters, Brooke and Taylor and brother, Kevin Turner, his wife, Shelley, and their three children, Blake, Beau and Brynlee; and by many loving extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Blake Turner, Beau Turner, Matt Carey, Shawn Mann, Cody Wood, and Brett Lamb.

A service of remembrance will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the Stratford Freewill Baptist Church, Stratford, Oklahoma, with Rev. Lewis Perry officiating. Burial will follow in McGee Cemetery, Stratford, Oklahoma, under the direction of DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home, Stratford. Those who wish to honor Tamara may donate to the Stratford Freewill Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
