Steven Gwyn Adams was born April 15, 1977, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Patricia (Yancy) Adams. He passed away peacefully at his farm in Wellston, surrounded by his loved ones, on February 2, 2025, at the age of 47 years. Steven was a pilot for Omni Air, and he loved flying airplanes. Throughout his lifetime he traveled many amazing places all over the world, and he made friends everywhere he went. Steven had a love for life and was a person you could always count on. He had a way to make everyone feel welcome, his home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay and you could always count on him for advice. Steven loved children, and his nieces and nephews felt like he hung the moon. He had a great sense of humor, and he was a true OSU cowboy. He had club seats at Boone Pickens Stadium, and he wore the color orange proud. Steven also enjoyed George Strait, fishing in Minnesota and Fox News. Steven was a friend to many and will be truly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Steven is survived by his brothers, Kenny Adams and Twila of Newalla, Oklahoma, and Jeremy Adams and Johnna of Blanchard, Oklahoma; sisters, Letha Stowers and BJ of Moore, Oklahoma, and Stacey Kilcrease of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nephews, Marc Stowers, Klayton Adams, Kolton Adams and Jerry Ray Stowers; nieces, Codi Pugh, Marissa Kunzman and Megan Stowers; great-nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Kiazer, Karter, Silas, Brynlee, Jace and Hudson; and countless friends and other family members.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Patricia Adams; maternal grandparents, Walter and Charlene Yancy; and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Arlie Belle Adams.
Funeral Services were held Friday, February 7, 2025, at First Assembly of God in Maysville, Oklahoma, with Bro. Lawrence Neisert officiating. Burial was at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at winansfuneralhome.com.
