RONNIE LEE BATES

Ronnie Lee Bates, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, was born to Charles and Sallie (Elam) Bates on January 1, 1951, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on September 16, 2021, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years.

Ronnie grew up and attended school in Pauls Valley. He worked as a department manager for many years for Walmart. After his retirement from Wal-Mart, he worked for the Pauls Valley school district as part of the custodial staff for several years. On May 14, 2001, Ronnie married Linda Frost in Purcell, Oklahoma. In his spare time, Ronnie enjoyed reading, music, traveling, food and had an extensive DVD collection. He was especially fond of good old western movies. Ronnie enjoyed life quietly but lived it to the fullest.

Mr. Bates is survived by his wife, Linda Bates; stepson, James Daniel Frost; stepdaughters, Ruth Ann Johnson and Suzanne Mackey; brother, Charles Bates; sister, Peggy Helm; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Mr. Bates was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sallie Bates; brothers, Harry and Jerry Bates; nephews, Chance Bates and Jimbo Helm; great-nephews and great-niece, Jake Bittle, Trey Helm and Brittney Rogers.

Funeral services were held September 21, 2021, at the Beaty Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Biswell officiating. Interment followed in the Byars Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home, Pauls Valley. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
