Rodney Dale Schroder, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born to William Harold and Virginia Ruth (Coffman) Schroder on April 18, 1957, in Rockford, Illinois, and passed from this life on May 30, 2022, (Memorial Day) at the age of 65 years.
Rodney grew up in Winnebago, Illinois, (farm country) and attended school there. As a child, Rodney played the Cordovox accordion in concert and competition. In the 1970s, Rodney relocated to Sunnyvale, California, to pursue his dreams. While working in the technology industry, Rodney lived in Ireland, Mexico and China. He spent 35 years in California before moving to Oklahoma and settling in Maysville for the last seven years. Rodney had a love of cats, especially his longtime companion Link. The highlight of Rodney’s life was the many years he spent with his beloved wife, Peggy, in sunny California. Rodney was a member of the First Church of God and a fervent supporter and volunteer for the Samaritans of Pauls Valley (local food pantry).
Rodney is survived by two daughters, Tonya Mullins of Springfield, Illinois and Monica Osoria of Rockford, Illinois; two grandsons, Raul Osoria and Dewayne Shelton; four sisters, Yvonne (Timothy) Wandel of Burlington, Wisconsin, Lorraine (Wesley) Walker of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Diane (Don) Hughes of Leaf River, Illinois and Rhonda Beavers of Maysville, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ron (Renee) Schroder of Winnebago and Russell (Bev) Schroder of San Jose, California; eleven nieces and nephews; and eighteen great-nieces and great-nephews He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy (Pitts) Schroder; and his parents, William and Virginia Schroder.
