Myrtle Ruth Warren O’Bryant entered Heaven at 2:34 a.m., March 4, 2022, surrounded by her family at the age of 77 years.
Mert was born January 18, 1945, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Joseph and Ruth Warren. She was one of five daughters: Lawanna Warren, Elizabeth Warren, Linda Hopkins, and Rhonda Chester. Mert graduated from Mustang High School in 1963 and married Kennie Justice in 1964. Out of this marriage, four daughters were born, Dena Justice of Purcell, Oklahoma, Dana Justice of Noble, Oklahoma, Dawn Green and husband Randy of Purcell, and Misti Justice of Noble. On March 30, 1991, Mert married Gene O’Bryant, at her mother’s home in Mustang, Oklahoma. From this marriage she gained sons, Randy O’Bryant and Gene Williams, and daughters, Gina O’Bryant and Lisa O’Bryant.
You could find Mert playing golf, dancing, or fishing at a local pond. She was a loving, outgoing and thoughtful person with such witty sense of humor. Mert was loved by her nieces, nephews and many friends. She loved spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, whom all knew and adored their Granny.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Ruth Warren; sisters, Lawanna Warren and Elizabeth Warren; husband, Gene O’Bryant; grandson, Dustin Gober; and niece, Pamela Triffet.
Services were held Thursday, March 10, 2022, at DeArman Chapel, Stratford, Oklahoma. Interment was held at McGee Cemetery, Stratford, under the direction of DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home.
