Mildred Brimm, of Byars, Oklahoma, was born December 14, 1935, in Wanette, Oklahoma, to Elmer William and Anna Mae (Gregg) Henderson. She passed away on April 17, 2022, in Purcell, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years, four months and three days.
Mildred married Cecil Brimm on September 4, 1953, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They made their home in Byars where they raised their family. She worked as a cook for the Byars school until retirement in 1995. She was an excellent cook, and it was something she very much enjoyed. If you came by her home, she wanted to make sure you left with a full stomach. Her cinnamon rolls were famous all over the community. Mildred was always at every event watching her children and grandchildren as they played sports. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Don Brimm; brother, Don Henderson; three sisters, Lavern Robertson, Rozella Hanks, and Viola Miller.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Cecil Brimm, of Byars, Oklahoma; her son, Mike Brimm and wife, Rhonda, of Konawa, Oklahoma; daughter, Judy Allspaugh of Byars; seven grandchildren, Stacy Saunders and husband, Aaron, Stormy Hunter and husband, Travis, Anna Larney and husband, John, Abby Brimm, Casey Hendricks, Kaylee Hendricks and Brittney Davis and husband, Clint.
Graveside services were held Thursday, April 21, 2022, in Byars Cemetery, Byars, Oklahoma, officiated by Bo Cail. Arrangements were under the direction of DeArman-Pickard Funeral Home, Stratford.
