Matthew Ray Bromlow was born December 23, 1975, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Charles and Nita (Brantley) Bromlow. He passed away peacefully May 29, 2025, in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 49 years. Matthew attended Maysville Public Schools and it was during this time that he made lifelong friends. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1994. Matthew cherished his friends and the memories of his school years. One of his prized possessions was his class ring, and he wore it proudly. Matthew worked as a truck driver and was a collector of many things. He enjoyed collecting “Lone Wolf” memorabilia and anything to do with trucks. Matthew enjoyed Iron Maiden music and was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan. He was a die-hard gamer and spent many hours perfecting his skill. Matthew’s biggest love was his family; he was so very proud of them. His daughter, Prudence, was the apple of his eye. Matthew’s family could count on him. He was always just a phone call away and was always willing to drop whatever he was doing to help out.
Matthew will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Matthew is survived by his parents, Charles and Nita Bromlow of Purcell, Oklahoma; daughter, Prudence Bromlow of Norman, Oklahoma; wife, Dannyel Hodgkinson; and numerous friends and other family members.
Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rush and Dorothy Brantley and Joe and Lavernia Bromlow; and sister, Mindi Bromlow-Boston.
Memorial Services were held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of John W. Willliams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at winansfuneralhome.com.
