Manuel Martin “Marty” Galaviz, of Purcell, Oklahoma, was born February 10, 1965, in Vidor, Texas, to Manuel and Joyce Marie (Hammack) Galaviz and passed away April 27, 2023, in Purcell, Oklahoma, at the age of 58 years.
Marty grew up in Vidor, Texas, where he graduated from Vidor High School. He moved to Maysville four years ago and later married Shawna, making their home in Purcell. Marty was an accomplished neon sign welder and an electrician. He enjoyed his work and carpentry, but loved working on and riding motorcycles. Marty loved his family and spending time with them whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Survivors include spouse, Shawna Galaviz, of the home; father, Manuel Galaviz of Maysville, Oklahoma; son, Manuel Martin Galaviz, Jr. of Vidor, Texas; daughter, Nikki Galaviz of Vidor, Texas; brothers, William Clinton Galaviz, Charles Ray Galaviz, Henry Lee Galaviz, Marty Lee Galaviz; sister, Jennifer Winget of Maysville; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Marie Hammack. Funeral services were held May 3, 2023, in Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma.
