Kenneth Wayne Cain, known to many as Kenny, passed away peacefully May 26, 2025, in Elmore City, Oklahoma, surrounded by those who loved him most. He was 81 years old. Kenny was born August 3, 1943, in Exeter, California, to Arthur Dee and Wanda Lee (Freely) Cain. The second eldest of 13 children, Kenny took on the role of protector and example for his siblings from an early age. He attended Hester Schools in California, where he formed the foundation of a life grounded in hard work, family and love. On January 11, 1962, Kenny married his soulmate, Margie Mayberry, in Farmersville, California. Their love story became the centerpiece of his life—a bond built on mutual respect, devotion and an unwavering commitment that spanned more than six decades.
Kenny spent his professional life as a skilled drywaller, a trade that reflected his dedication, precision and pride in a job well done. Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures: hunting, tending to his chicken farm, participating in field trials, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family.
For Kenny, family was everything. His greatest joy came from being a husband, father, grandfather and brother. He lived his life as a living example of how to love well, care deeply and stand strong. To know Kenny was to know what it meant to be loved unconditionally. The legacy he leaves behind is not only in the stories and laughter shared but in the values he instilled in those around him.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit and the lessons he passed down—lessons about love, loyalty and the true meaning of family.
