Georgia Rae Wilson

Georgia Rae Wilson was born December 13, 1930, to Ellis and Ruby (Jones) Baker. She was one of 10 children and grew up in a large family where faith, family and hard work were an important part of everyday life. Georgia passed peacefully on September 17, 2026, in Marietta, Oklahoma, at the age of 95.

Georgia was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord, her family, and her church. Her faith was at the center of her life, and she believed strongly in the power of prayer. Those who knew her well knew her as a prayer warrior, someone who faithfully prayed for her family and the people around her.

She was a woman of quiet strength and kindness. Georgia had a way of giving encouragement and sharing wisdom, but much of what she taught her family came simply from the way she lived. Her life reflected the faith, strength kindness, and devotion of the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31.

Georgia married Glen Wilson, and family was always one of the most important parts of her life. She was the mother of Dale Wilson and his wife, Angie, and Glenda Bennett and her husband, Don.

She was a loving grandmother to Heather McMahon and her husband, John Cole; Holly Frankum and her husband, Jason; Jeffrey Wilson; and Ashley Winter and her husband, Seth.

Her great-grandchildren were Carson McMahon, Courtlyn McMahon, Ashlyn Frankum, Jett Frankum, Khloe Winter, Kade Winter and Jace Cole. Georgia loved her family dearly and prayed faithfully for each generation.

Church was an important part of Georgia’s life. She enjoyed worship, fellowship and spending time with her church family. She also loved music and enjoyed playing her guitar.

Georgia was especially talented at sewing and quilting. She loved fabric, the colors, patterns and textures and enjoyed turning simple pieces of cloth into something beautiful. Over the years, she made quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those quilts became more than handmade gifts. They were something personal from Georgia, made with her own hands and given with love.

Her family will remember the quilts she made, but even more, they will remember the prayers she prayed, the advice she gave, the songs she played and the love and kindness she showed throughout her life.

Georgia leaves behind a strong legacy of faith and family. The lessons she taught and the example she set will continue through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, family member and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, but her family takes comfort in knowing that the woman who spent her life loving and serving the Lord has gone home to be with Him.

Her hands may be still, but the love she stitched into the lives of her family will last forever.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at The First Assembly of God Church in Maysville, Oklahoma.

Burial was at the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville.
