Dorothy L. Miller, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born September 8, 1940 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Elmer and Charlotte (Holmes) Woodruff. She passed from this life on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years.
Dorothy was a lifetime resident of Maysville. She married Ray Miller in June of 1975 in Maysville. She was a past employee of Storm Plastics Fishing Lures and Winans Funeral Home where she would answer the phone. Later, she and Ray opened up Miller Farm Supply where they worked side by side. Dorothy loved her family, spending time with them and attending the granddaughters’ activities. She liked collecting things of all kinds, doing crafts, and making the things that were the latest things to be made. She enjoyed crocheting, antiquing, and attending the Affair of the Heart events. Dorothy loved Thunder basketball, eating out, and making Christmas divinity and fudge. She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. One of her favorite things to do was Facebooking and keeping up with everyone. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ray, of the home; son, Billy Walker, of Maysville; daughter, Kami Riley and David of Maysville; granddaughters, Allison and Avery Riley of Maysville; and sister, Margaret Allen, also of Maysville.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Charlotte Woodruff; a brother, John Woodruff; and sister, Joan Stephens.
Funeral services were held February 1, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating. Burial followed in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W.
