Darold Walton White was born to Ralph and Ida Mae (Peggy) White July 8, 1943, and passed from this life at his home on April 26, 2023, at the age of 79 years. Darold grew up around Elmore City, graduating in 1961 from Elmore City High School. Darold married Linda Dennis December 6, 1977, in Mansfield, Texas, where they lived for many years. Darold was a machinist at Stratoflex and later owned his own trucking company. In 1989, they moved to Elmore City where Darold went to work for C & M Construction company, and later he retired after 17 years with Garvin County Dist. 2. Darold enjoyed coffee with his friends, sitting on the porch, always wanting to be outside, riding his motorcycle, and occasionally camping with his family. Darold and Linda shared 46 years of marriage and together they shared six children, 17 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Darold enjoyed family gatherings at Thanksgiving and Easter. This past Easter they celebrated with almost all their family. He was loved by everyone he met.
Darold is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; his daughter, Peggy Deen and husband, Terry, of Davis, Oklahoma; a son, Chris and his wife, Dana, of Joy, Oklahoma; a daughter, Kim Paillet and husband, Eric, of Elmore City; a sister, Sheran Brewer and husband, John, of Elmore City; and a slew of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Darold was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Peggy White; brother, Ronald Gene White; three sons, Darold Gene White, Carl Dennis, Kevin Dennis; and a son-in-law, Edwin Burrell.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, Oklahoma, with Pastor Jimmy Balentine officiating. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. You may send a condolence to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com.
