Cody Elliott Gilbert, of Oklahoma City, entered this life October 15, 1985, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and entered life eternal December 5, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 40 years.
He grew up in Garvin County in the Elmore City and Pauls Valley area. He graduated from Elmore City High School. He furthered his education by earning his law degree. The Oklahoma City area has been his home since 2004.
Cody was married to Lindsey (Workman) Gilbert in Oklahoma City in 2015.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lavena Buckner.
Cody is survived by his wife, Lindsey Gilbert, and one son, Elliott J. Gilbert; mother and father, Angela and Sterling Gilbert, and his dad, Gregory Buckner; grandmother, Diana; and grandfather, Robert Brooks; three brothers, Tristan Buckner, Gregory Elliott Buckner and Desmond Buckner; three sisters, Allison Woodell, Toya Gilbert and Katrina Buckner; aunts, Kathy, Michelle and Melinda; a niece, Noelle Muniz, and a nephew, Jadora King; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Services for cremation are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
