Clarence Eugene Bowen was born March 31, 1938, in Story, Oklahoma, to Byron and Catherine (Green) Bowen and passed away May 31, 2024, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years.
Clarence was a lifelong resident of the Maysville area. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1956. Clarence married Wilma Harris on August 1, 1959, at the Maysville First Baptist Church. They were married 58 years at the time of her passing in 2018.
Clarence worked as a corrections officer until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Clarence also enjoyed working with his hands, he could fix almost anything.
Clarence was a dedicated family man who loved his family. Clarence will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his son, Tim Bowen and Janette of Karnes City, Texas; daughter, Deborah Bowen, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and sister, Gayle Parker of Norman, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bianca Hulsey, Laci Rogers, and Brayden Bowen; and seven great-grandchildren, Brielle Hulsey, Corina Hulsey, Nicolas Rogers, Ashlynn Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Athena Morrow, and Brinley Bowen.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Catherine Bowen; wife, Wilma Bowen; and brother, Jerry Bowen.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel in Maysville, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W.
