Clara Sue Wigley, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born on November 10, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to R. L. and Avis (Broadhead) Luttrell. She passed away April 25, 2022, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years.
Clara was raised in Pauls Valley and graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1966. She married James Wigley on July 22, 1967. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes. Clara loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed going dancing every Saturday night and listening to music. She also enjoyed growing rose bushes and loved her dogs. Clara will be greatly missed by her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James, of the home; son, Mark Wigley and wife, Carolyn, of Maysville; daughter, Janice Wigley, of Maysville; grandchildren, Kyle, Brook, and Kash; and great-grandchildren, Emmy, Racy, Fury, Ely, and Aleigha.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, R. L. and Avis Luttrell; daughter, Ronda Wigley; brother, Terry Luttrell; and sister, Lois Jarman.
James Ray Wigley, of Maysville, Oklahoma, was born August 17, 1948, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Pat and Laverne (Morphew) Wigley. He passed from this life on May 21, 2022, in Oklahoma City at the age of 73.
James was a lifetime resident of Maysville graduating from Maysville High School in 1966, and went on to attend some college. He married Clara Sue Luttrell on July 22, 1967, and they enjoyed almost 55 years of marriage together before her passing. James spent his working years in the oilfield. When he was younger, he enjoyed the sport of coon hunting. He loved and enjoyed time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James also enjoyed going to the races and watching Mark race his car. He was known to be a jokester. He never met a stranger and was a great conversationalist. James always enjoyed a good old western movie especially if John Wayne was starring in it.
Survivors include his son, Mark Wigley, and wife, Carolyn, of Maysville; daughter, Janice Wigley, of Maysville; sister, Boneta Weatherford of Ozark, Missouri; grandchildren, Kyle, Brook, and Kash; and great-grandchildren, Emmy, Racy, Fury, Ely, and Aleigha.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Laverne Wigley; wife, Clara Wigley; daughter, Ronda Wigley; brother, Bobby Wigley; and brother-in-law, John Weatherford.
